Winged Migration and Moon Rise By Kayak, Elkhorn Slough
Come ride the tide from Kirby Park to the Coast! A steady ebb flow will carry us past slumbering seals and sea otters as we make our way
to North Moss Landing Harbor. This is another great trip for beginners and/or those who enjoy wildlife sightings. We'll stop for an early
dinner at the Sea Harvest Restaurant as a full moon rises over the
Slough (Full day; timing varies with tides and option to join us at
restaurant; $15 van shuttle included; dinner on own).
6-7 hours; $80 time varies with tides

Extreme Tidepooling, Forage and Beachcomb
Hope you can join us for a day of exploring the rocky intertidal coast. We'll gather for coffee at the Whale City Bakery in Davenport Landing
(10 minutes north of Santa Cruz). From there, we'll caravan to Davenport Landing to join your Blue Water naturalist as we explore the tidepools.
Wetsuits are recommended to really "experience" the coast. We'll harvest some mussels to cook right on the beach .
Group size is limited to 14.
$48 with wetsuit; $40 if you bring your own wetsuit

Seals and Sea Otter Watch By Kayak: Elkhorn Slough
Sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions and an array of migratory birds makes the protected
water of Elkhorn Slough our most popular sea kayaking destination.
We'll explore the Slough's tidal creeks learning about it's unique ecology
and stop for a picnic on shore. During whale migration, we'll include a hike out to the beach in search of whales.
This is an ideal trip for wildlife enthusiast and those new to the sport of kayaking.
9:30am-2:00pm $65; 9:30-3:30pm $80

Whale Watch Sail and Tidepools
Join us for a sail on the beautiful Chardonnay II, a 70' sailing yacht located at at the Santa Cruz Harbor. We'll set sail in search of
California Gray whales which are migrating through our waters en route to or from their calving grounds in Baja, Mexico.
Complimentary snacks, wine, beer and sodas will be provided by the Chardonnay crew. Before or after our sail we'll caravan to Davenport Landing
where our naturalists will explore the intertidal rocky shore at a minus low tide with you. Bring a lunch to enjoy on the beach.
We are anticipating lots of fun exploring our incredible Marine Sanctuary, from land to sea!

Whales and Wildlife Kayak to Brunch
Join us for a morning paddle in search of mama Gray Whales with their plump babies in tow. During their spring migration to Alaska,
mother and calf pairs travel close to shore through our coastal waters. Leaving from Santa Cruz harbor we'll search for whales and other marine mammals.
After our morning paddle let's gather at Aldos for brunch on their outdoor patio above the harbor (brunch on own).

Adventure Paddle and Exploration of the Kelp Forest
Join our naturalist for an an eye level experience with Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary!
Using sit on top kayaks slide into our amazing bay and take a look at the kelp forest using goggles or a mask and snorkel.
If you prefer to stay dry simply glide above the forest canopy on the
maneuverable sit on top kayaks searching for sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions and sea birds.
Destinations include Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary via Santa Cruz Harbor and Cannery Row.
We'll gather for brunch afterwards to reflect on our adventure (brunch is on your own)

Full Moon
Paddle, Picnic and Tide Pools: Pillar Point Harbor
Spend a leisurely evening with a naturalist, kayaking in the protected harbor of
Pillar Point, Half Moon Bay. Cormorants, pelicans, terns and harbor
seals join us for our evening paddle. Across the harbor we can beach comb, explore
tidepools at a minus tide and have a shore picnic before paddling back as a full moon rises over the harbor.
Great trip for beginners and those interested in coastal ecology
4-5 hours; time varies with tides $75

Tomales Bay by Kayak
Nestled in Point Reyes National Seashore, Tomales Bay is an amazing wetland to explore by kayak.
Bat rays, leopard sharks, white pelicans and harbor seals live in this protected waterway. We'll have a leisurely paddle and stop along one
of the pristine coves that were once used by the Coast Miwok, The Native Americans of this region.

Kayak Skills and Safety Clinic for Women, Pillar Point Harbor: Half Moon Bay or Elkhorn Slough
Sea Kayaking skills, safety, assisted and self rescues are taught during this fun and
wet day! Class size limited to six women. Certificate cards issued upon completion of course

Coast Redwood Kayak and Barbecue for Women
Tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Loch Lomond Reservoir offers a refreshing summer retreat to explore by sea kayak.
Join us as we paddle below towering redwoods and search for Osprey, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Deer and other mountain residents.
After kayaking, we'll set up the barbecue near the lake's shore so bring something to grill and drink. We'll supply snacks and salads.

Women's Social Paddle In Sausalito
Join us for a relaxing day on the water! We'll kayak along Sausalito's scenic
waterfront and through historic Richardson Bay with sweeping views of San Francisco,
The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Angel Island. Our destination is the Paradise Bay
Restaurant in Sausalito where we'll have a meal before paddling back
(guided kayaking trip included; dinner on own).
