Welcome to the British Virgin Islands Sailing/Snorkeling/Kayaking Adventure for Women

June 9th-16th, 2009

(with option to sleep on board on June 8th)

The British Virgin Islands are a chain of 40 islands volcanic in origin, that our world renowned as a premier sailing destination. Warm, clear, sheltered water, steady trade winds and fringing coral reefs makes circumnavigating the BVI's an unforgettable experience.

Living aboard a Catamaran style sailboat, we will snorkel, hike, kayak, beachcomb and relax under sail for a full week. For women who are interested, our captain will teach sailing fundamentals as she shares her maritime knowledge. Your on board naturalist will provide daily guided snorkeling trips as well as optional hikes on shore to explore the mountainous terrain. On board we will have several sit-on-top kayaks for use during the week. In terms of physical endurance, this trip could be rated from easy to high moderate--your choice! All hikes, kayaking and snorkeling activities are optional.

Each evening we'll prepare a delicious meal on board at a different anchorage. Some nights we will be nestled into a secluded bay lined with a sandy beach to explore. Other nights, we'll anchor in an area where local Caribbean style music with dancing can be enjoyed. As always, the Blue Water Ventures staff will offer fun, educational and adventurous activities each day.

TRIP COST: The cost of the BVI Sailing/Snorkeling program is $2475 per person. This price includes all sailing expenses, kayaks, entrance fees, meals, scheduled airport transfers, and naturalist guide services. The price does not include airfare, phone calls, unscheduled excursions, personal liquor, tips, the optional payment of $50 to stay on board on June 8th or the departure tax of $10. American dollars are the official exchange in the BVI's.

FLIGHTS TO THE BVI's: Before booking, please check with Blue Water Ventures for an update on the trip's sign up status. I have found great

rates at both Kayak.Com. and Lavender Travel. Your arrival airport is Beef Island, Tortola and the code is: EIS. Please meet us by 10:00am at the TMM charter dock on June 9th. Plan on departing from the BVI's anytime after 2:00pm on the last day of our trip.
